Memory of childhood is to human beings as diamond is to the crown.Amusing experiences add much pleasure to our long life, making us grin from ear to ear when we recall. When I was young, I had many interesting experiences. Some of them, pitifully, have already faded away. Nevertheless there are some experiences rooted deeply in my memory.
There was a river that enriched my childhood. It is a small stream of bubbling crystal clear water that quietly flows in my grandparents' village. Every time I went to visit my grandparents, I would visit my river.
In summer, I would run to the riverside, take off my shoes, cheerfully jump into the river and then float in it. The coolness of the river protected me from the annoying hot weather. The kisses of tiny fishes kept me laughing. Sometimes, I played water with friends there, splashing water to each other. At that time, even water can entertain kids for a whole afternoon.
In winter, the river still provided fun. I just stood by the river bank, watching snow softly falling down and melting in the river. All was quiet. I felt myself in a paradise of peace. A heavy breath could possibly break this dreamland.
The joys I received from the river are actually far beyond description, so is my miss for it. Still, I am going to live my life treasuring every drop of happiness.
